WHERE IS THE EVENT HELD?

The Detroit Kite Festival will be held on Belle Isle, on the lawn between the James Scott Memorial Fountain and the Belle Isle Casino.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

DO I NEED A KITE?

Everyone and anyone can come and enjoy kites, whether you want to fly them or sit back and watch. We will have as many kites as possible to fly, and for youth to build, decorate, and keep. We encourage you to bring your own kite, make your own kite, and we encourage kite sharing at the festival!

Is the event free?

YES! The Kite Festival is free and open to the public. You might want to bring a few bucks to buy some food, but we encorage picnics!
